Frequently asked questions.
What Makes Us Different?
We’ve been shooting weddings for over a decade, and here’s what we’ve learned: couples are looking for something genuine. They want their day captured as it is, no overproduced drama, no awkward poses (unless thats your thing). Just real moments, big laughs, and all the emotions that come with it. We blend Super 8mm, 16mm, and digital film to create a nostalgic feel, but we don’t make you act. The best weddings are when you get to be you.
Do You Travel?
While we proudly call Houston, TX, home, we are more than ready to hit the road and bring our wedding cinematography talents wherever your love story takes you. Whether it’s a destination wedding on a sandy beach or a rustic countryside celebration, we are up for the adventure. Plus we get to add some cool super 8 trip footage to your wedding. We charge a 1 time travel stipend that covers costs. Let us know where you want to go and we will get you a quote.
Why Are There No Set Hours In Your Packages?
We have felt that constraining your wedding day to only 6 or 8 hours. Each wedding is different. Some are short and intimate and others are day long ragers. We want to decided we would rather make good videos than nickel and dime our couples on hours. We work with you (the couple) and our cinematographers on when best to arrive and leave that makes the most sense.
How Do We Book You?
To lock in the date, we require 50% of the total up front and then the remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to the wedding date. We typically don’t book more than a year out. Its not you, its us.
How Many Shooters Come To The Wedding?
Two. By default we send two. If it becomes a problem with travel costs, we can totally send just one. Many of our films were captured on a solo mission. Please note: opting for one shooter doesn’t reduce the package price. It’s a lot more work for that one person, so we pay them for it.
Can I Change My Package Later?
Yes! We do not expect you to have everything figured out from the start. I am happy to adjust the packages or films up to (or even after) your wedding day. Please note, some items require some preparation and cannot be added on with short notice.
When Can I Expect My Films?
My delivery estimate for all films is within 6 months of your wedding date.
Why?
The Film! It takes time to develop, scan, and color graded. The film changes hands across specialist in each stage and ends up looking awesome! We also run a commercial production company as well and sometimes the todo list gets long! Our Trailers are delivered with 14 day though!
Who Picks The Music?
You! Or Us. We found it works best, when you give us some inspiration and we find the exact song that fits the beats of your wedding. Unfortunately we are constrained to certain licensable songs.
